This book proposes a strategic road infrastructure project in Catatumbo as a key tool for regional development, poverty reduction and overcoming violence in Colombia. Based on a focus on cooperation and territorial reconstruction, the work proposes the labor incorporation of the population displaced by the armed conflict, transforming a social problem into an engine of economic growth and stability.Through qualitative research supported by statistical analysis, review of the state of the art and comparative studies in post-conflict territories, the author examines how geographical isolation and the lack of road connectivity have deepened social conflicts, facilitated the presence of non-state armed groups and weakened national security.The central thesis maintains that the construction of modern roads and connectivity with the national network not only improves access to markets, services and opportunities, but also reduces incentives for illegal economies, strengthens social cohesion and promotes sustainable economic development.A work that articulates infrastructure, social inclusion and security, offering a concrete proposal for the structural transformation of Catatumbo and the consolidation of territorial peace in Colombia.
